Disneyland Paris
Jul. 14th, 2013 10:01 amA couple of weeks ago, my primary human and her maternal unit took a trip to Disneyland Paris. I went along to supervise them, of course.
I got a very warm welcome from the resident owner:

This fine fellow was ready to welcome us in the newer Disney Studio park:

He informed us as we approached, that: "Everything is fully assembled for maximum fun." The humans found this very amusing for some reason. I have no idea why, but then they are often incomprehensible to me.
Some of the other natives of the area were a bit more shy. For example, this little creature, who was reluctant to come out and say hello:

This chameleon, on the other hand, was very friendly, and told me all about the princess trapped in the tower behind us:

This princess was a little more accessible, and more than happy to let me join her merry band:

Of course, it wasn't all meeting and greeting - there were rides to enjoy as well! The humans went on the carousel many times, though I wasn't sure the safety measures were entirely up to scratch, as some of the horses were rather fiesty:

The humans were completely obsessed with Casey Jnr, "Le Petit Train Du Cirque" and rode it about fifteen times over the course of four days. I didn't see what was so special about it myself but, as I said - incomprehensible creatures!

Trains were the theme of the trip - we came across this one quite by chance, which was accompanied by a very jolly song celebrating 20 years of the park:

I preferred the panoramic train that took us on a trip around the entire perimeter of the park, and allowed us to see views not normally accessible to visitors:

Other rides were less enjoyable...
"It's a small world after all, it's a small world after all, it's a small world after all, it's a small, small world..."
Aaaaaaah! Make it stop!!

Maybe I'll be safe from the endless singing up here:

Yaaaar! Me hearties! Pirate Captain Bear will make anyone singing that awful song walk the plank!

Um, apparently there's already a pirate captain in residence and he doesn't appreciate people impersonating him... Phew! Just about escaped with my life!

I know! Once I'm king, I'll be able to decree an end to all annoying songs. Just give me a minute, and I'll have this sword out of this stone. Hang on, nearly got it...

There's got to be an easier way to become king. How about kissing the sleeping princess! That ought to do it!

King Bear pronounces the trip a success!
