A brief geocaching sojourn
Apr. 29th, 2023 04:36 pmAs we enter deep spring the buds are blooming, the lambs are leaping and the humans are engaging in occasional trips away from home to do a little geocaching in some of the lovely areas of Hertfordshire just north of where they live. Last week they decided to do such a loop around the hamlet of Water End.
It's important to find some stout walking sticks - they're also very useful for poking and prodding the ground when looking for caches.
We went down many lovely country lanes - it's so nice to get away from the city for a while.
Let's hope this flock of pheasants are being kept for their eggs rather than some posh bloke's fun.
This cache was relatively easy to locate. We found 8 and DNF'd 4 on the day.
Spring is definitely in the air!
This was only one of several picturesque spots we passed.
Overall all it was another lovely day - even better when you don't have to do the actual walking!
