We met Hermes while strolling in the gardens - but even my extra weight on his winged sandals stopped him from taking off.

Then it was on to Ham House itself, rather an impressive edifice, I think you'll agree.

A couple of weekends ago, the humans and I took a trip to Richmond, to visit Ham House.

We started with a very civilised picnic by the river, eliciting envious comments from several passersby, some of whom even guessed my name as Aloysius. I thought it would be too confusing to correct them, but was pleased to find people who made the association.
