Highlands Holiday - Part Two
Sep. 20th, 2020 10:17 amAfter our first night and day of travelling to the Highlands, picking up our hire car and seeing some of the sights, we eventually arrived at our accommodation for the week. And this was the view from our garden gate:
Pretty great, huh? Inside the cottage was very comfortable and well presented, with lots of stag motifs:
There was also a friendly highland cow:
And this fine fellow - I hope I didn't put him off!
In the evenings, we used the very nicely sized dining table to play games - Terraforming Mars:
And Scythe (which the humans hadn't played for a long time, so ended up playing twice):
The one place my primary human remembered and wanted to go back to, from our previous trip to the area, was Attadale Gardens. The weather was a bit damp, but the house and its environs were still gorgeous:
Parts of the woodland felt almost primordial, with their majestic trees and sheltering canopy:
And there were also strange, mesmerising flowers in the greenhouse:
It was lovely to revisit such a beautiful place (even if we did get a little bit wet), and there were more familiar places to come!
