Hello! Stanley here. Bear has kindly allowed me to post some pictures from our recent holiday to Vicarage House in Norfolk. He went with the humans about 18 months ago and really enjoyed it, so I decided I'd tag along this time:
It's a very pretty house, with large and varied grounds, plus a pool that was used by some of the humans when the weather was good:
I hadn't met all the humans before, but everyone was very friendly, and there was also another bear there, named Sue:
I had plenty of reading material for when the humans were busy doing other things. One book was all about celebrity bears!
The humans involved me in their games, as well - they did some roleplaying and I helped GM:
The highlight for me, though, was helping set up and run a treasure hunt part way through the week. It was necessary to walk through the path the humans would take quite carefully to ensure the clues were correct:
Part of it involved dropping a marker from the banister so I needed to check the angle:
Then I hid and the humans had to follow the trail of clues and puzzles to locate my hiding place. Bear helped with the last puzzle and released me from the cupboard under the stairs. Our primary human was glad to have found me.
Everyone had a lovely time and it was nice of the humans to help me feel so involved. I made lots of new friends, which turned out to be useful because it was a bit of a squeeze on the way to the station at the end of the week (I do have very long legs):
Bear was right to recommend this location for a group holiday and I'm very glad I had the opportunity to join in. I would definitely come along again another year!
