Christmas 2020

We had to stay at home this Christmas, rather than travelling to see the humans' family. But we still made an effort to set the table nicely for lunch, with added technology for connecting with other people over video call:
The rest of the presents were standing by for the usual shared opening session:
The humans' main nod to the season was this cute Christmas tree decoration advent calendar, which makes an appearance every year:
My secondary human also runs an annual project to rescue a poinsettia and rehabilitate it to greenness. This year's specimen (on the right) will hopefully soon look like the one from two years ago (on the left). We don't talk about last year's effort...
Stanley put on his woolly hat for the occasion, in case of snow. I think I look better in my Christmas jumper, though:
Over at our usual venue on the south coast, my primary humans' parents drafted in some substitutes to fill the empty spaces at the dinner table (ah, Dolce, my sweet, there will sadly be no Christmas snuggles for us this year, but you look radiant, as ever...):
Later, Stanley modelled one of the gifts that was exchanged:
All in all, we managed to make the occasion festive (and yes, I realise it's only just Christmas Day today, but we decided to hold our event yesterday, in case of bandwidth issues).
